Random thoughts

  • The language of management is money. Teach the organization to put things in terms of money.

  • Production tends to focus on now, today and tends to be action focused (What do I do?)

  • Maintenance execution is also focused on now and tends to be action focused.

  • Engineering is longer term focused and conceptual initially (connect A to B) and detailed focused later. This leads to unclear communications during project development.

  • You always have time to think about what you should do next, even in an emergency.
